Our holiday courses

Step Up to Music (Ages 5-7)

A friendly, confidence-building introduction to music for younger children. Step Up to Music focuses on rhythm, singing, ensemble playing and instrument exploration, helping children develop musical foundations in a supportive environment.

Suitable for any musical experience from the age of 5. Courses run  from 9.30am to 3.30pm with wraparound care options to support working families.

Courses run during both the Easter and summer holidays:

  • 3-day Easter course 8-10 April
  • 5-day summer courses 27-31 July and 3-7 August.

Orchestras & Windbands (Ages 8-18)

Designed for young musicians who already play an orchestral instrument at Grade 1 standard and above. Students rehearse as part of a standard-appropriate orchestra or wind band, working on listening, rhythm and musical communication.

  • 3-day Easter courses focus on ensemble experience and musical development: 8-10 April
  • 5-day summer courses work towards a shared end-of-week performance which parents and carers can attend for free. Courses are 27-31 July, and 3-7 August with plenty of variety to challenge performers booking on both weeks.

These courses suit students who enjoy being part of a challenging but fun ensemble and want to improve their skills, technique, and expand their connections within the musical community.

Musical Theatre Production Course (Ages 8-18)

A 5-day summer holiday course 3-7 August centred on the creation of a full musical theatre production. Students work intensively on music, singing, movement and performance, rehearsing together towards a staged show at the end of the week.

The course is led by tutors with West End and professional theatre experience, and is designed for young performers who want a realistic insight into how musical theatre productions are put together.

This course appeals particularly to students with ambitions in musical theatre and to families who value high-quality, performance-led training during the summer holidays.
