29 July – 2 August Orchestras & Wind Bands – Bedford School

Immerse yourself in our outstanding wind bands and orchestras, delving into a diverse range of classical music genres. Students thrive in full orchestral settings and specialised smaller ensembles, thoughtfully tailored to their age and skill level. This enriching week is suitable for students of all grades up to Grade 8 and beyond. Many Musicale Summer Holiday Alumni have gone on to attend prestigious music colleges across the country and have won renowned competitions like BBC Young Musician of the Year.

Expert Guidance:

This summer, we’re thrilled to have Sarah Williamson, acclaimed clarinettist and international soloist, as our Musical Director. Sarah will be sharing her passion and expertise in classical music alongside the Musicale team of professional musicians from the country’s top orchestras and ensembles. Each staff member holds an enhanced DBS check, is trained in safeguarding children, and includes fully trained first aiders ready to assist throughout the courses.

Beyond the Notes:

In addition to our musical offerings, each day features engaging non-musical activities designed to foster friendships and teamwork. Experience a week filled with learning, socialising, and performing, culminating in an unforgettable final evening concert on Friday. Parents, grandparents, friends, and supporters are warmly invited to join us for this special showcase!

• Times: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday

The week concludes with a captivating concert on Friday at 6:30 pm, where students will perform a curated selection of the music they’ve mastered throughout the week. The performance will last approximately one hour.

Please Note: This program is designed for children who already play an orchestral instrument. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pianists or guitarists. We recommend that students have at least one year of instrumental lessons to fully enjoy the week. Individual lessons are not offered during this course.
