Noah Layzell

Noah Layzell is a Classical Guitarist from Hertfordshire, England. He studied at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and then The Royal Academy of Music, receiving the Birmingham Conservatoire Guitar Prize in 2022 and Academy’s Timothy Gilson Guitar Prize in 2025.
He has played solo recitals at venues including Birmingham Cathedral and St Albans Cathedral, and performed in chamber ensembles at Milton Court and Dukes Hall. In programming, he prioritises showcasing a wide range music, taking advantage of the guitars large and varied repertoire.
As a musician, Noah has a strong feeling of social duty and has organised several concerts to raise money for various charitable causes.
In lesson, Noah encourages his students to be curious, and to explore any musical interest they may have. He has a progressive outlook that is built on the idea that students who enjoy study learn more.
  1. When I’m not playing the guitar, I enjoy playing chess and watching football.
  2. I have a three legged cat named Poppy.
  3. I’m currently studying towards a masters degree at the Royal Academy of Music.
  4. I enjoy all sorts of music, from Bach through to the Beatles.
  5. As I write this my current favorite band is Radiohead.
