Concert Orchestra

Concert Orchestra meets on Monday evenings from 7.15 – 8.30pm and is for students of all orchestral instruments of Grade 4 and above [Strings, Woodwind and Brass players].

They play a varied repertoire including Classical works, light arrangements and even students’ own compositions. This group of mostly secondary school children are an amazing bunch of musicians who are also partial to bringing in homemade baked goods to share…!

Joining a classical music ensemble can be life-changing for teenagers. It nurtures discipline, teamwork, and emotional expression—all while building confidence through performance. Ensemble playing teaches young musicians to listen deeply and collaborate towards a common goal. At Musicale’s Concert Orchestra, we create a supportive space where teens grow musically and personally, surrounded by peers who share their passion.

Concerts given in the summer and winter terms.

There are 10 sessions a term costing £90.

“A definite yes!” Claire M, June 2021

“An enriching experience” Peter I, February 2022

“just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the concert last week!  My daughter M plays with the concert orchestra and I was just so impressed with their standard, and how much they’ve learned in just 9 weeks of rehearsing – really amazing!  M also loves going each week – they obviously work hard but in a way that’s fun and not stressful, Una really is a wonderful teacher.” A Gardiner, December 2024

“All the experience with Musicale, Concert Orchestra, and the amazing teachers have played a massive part in his musical journey. We are super grateful to all of you at Musicale for inspiring him on his musical journey!” K Wong, Sept 2025
